Our Oil and Gas Drilling company client, is looking for Project HSE Advisor on a part time, 9 month contract basis.

     

Reporting to the Project Director, as the Project HSE Advisor, you will have the following main duties and responsibilities:

  • Providing advice, guiding and informing concerning safety, health and environmental issues, existing and proposed legislation, codes of practice and industry standards. Assisting in the development and implementation of procedures within the organisation.
  • Co-ordinating contractual HSE deliverables with customer and company contractors.
  • Liaising with external bodies such as enforcing authorities, legislative agencies, industry organisations so that the project remains informed and can plan for change.
  • Conducting risk assessments, developing HSE Plans, interface documentating and other relevant documentation in support of the project, client, company contractors and product lines.
  • Developing and maintaining systems and procedures to identify and improve the projects HSE performance.
  • In co-operation with other departments, ensuring that sufficient training and instruction in HSE matters is provided so that members of the project understand the requirement to work safely in accordance with the company’s management system.
  • Carrying out internal and external HSE audits of offshore/onshore worksites and any Contractor/Subcontractor activities.
  • Compiling monthly HSE reports on project HSE performance.
  • Compiling information for and participating in customer and contractor performance reviews.
  • Where required assisting the project Quality Advisor in auditing and investigations.
  • Leading HSE investigation and reporting, together with providing recommendations and corrective actions required.
  • Providing support to ensure that non-conformances, defects and deficiencies relating to HSE matters are reported, and that corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective communication systems with our internal and external customers.

      

Key Experience/Qualifications:

  • Good level of English.
  • NEBOSH Certificate level as minimum.
  • Lead Auditor qualification preferred.
  • Lead investigation training i.e. TopSet/TapRoot.
  • Offshore BOSIET/MIST.
  • OEUK Medical.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
