Oil and gas service company looking for a Workshop Supervisor on a permanent, staff basis for their Aberdeen based workshop. The candidate will come from a strong refurbishment background with a variety of subsea equipment and tooling, and possess previous supervisory skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervising the assembly and test of products, maintenance and repair of equipment and refurbishment and repair of customer owned equipment.
  • Ensuring that machinery and test equipment are maintained and operated in a safe and efficient manner, with particular emphasis on the safety aspect with regard to testing.
  • Making recommendations to Foreman on improving work flow and efficient utilisation of resources and labour.
  • Continually monitoring the use of risk assessments and safe working procedures.
  • Effectively planning and prioritising department’s work activities, delegating tasks and monitoring work activities in line with Foreman’s instructions.
  • Assisting in the development of, supporting and promoting appropriate achievable department goals and objectives and effectively communicating them to appropriate personnel.
  • Providing cover for Foreman when not available.
  • Training operators in the safe use of equipment including Hydro / Gas Test Pumps Flushing and Test Rigs.

Applicants to this role require:

  • Previous refurbishment experience of subsea tooling and equipment
  • Manufacturing background
  • Previous supervisory skills
