SCM Specialist - VR/20995
SCM Specialist required to join a global leader in the Offshore Energy industry. This role performs a key function in the organisation and is responsible for an array of supply chain responsibilities including sourcing, supplier management, expediting and logistics. This is a contract position scheduled for 4 - 6 months, based in the Westhill area.
As SCM Specialist, your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Identifying suppliers, RFQs, negotiations and award of POs.
- Ensuring the timely arrival of goods / services through careful planning and execution of forwarding and expediting strategies.
- Contributing towards annual cost saving targets by challenging supplier costs and negotiating the best commercial deal.
- Conducting supplier pre-qualification tasks and supplier performance assessments.
- Supporting internal departments, colleagues and key stakeholders with SCM activities.
Applicants to this position should have previous experience in a similar SCM / Procurement position, with exposure to purchasing processes and familiarity with tendering. Experience of SAP would be beneficial.
