Planning Engineer - VR/20815
Currently recruiting for an experienced Planning Engineer on a staff basis with a global leader in Oil and Gas subsea services based in Westhill, Aberdeenshire. The role will likely involve occasional travel to site/ shipyards across the world, sometimes for 4 - 6 weeks; therefore, applicants must be willing to travel for work.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Developing and producing contract control schedules, project reporting packages and ad-hoc schedules where required.
- Monitoring and reporting progress on projects, identifying trends / issues and providing corrective measures in an advisory manner to project managers
- Liaising with Project Managers and Project Teams for planning matters, facilitating planning meetings where required
- Providing planning support to Asset Managers, project leads and / or technical authorities to generate multi-level schedules as required.
- Attending site for complex projects to provide on-site planning and progress reporting.
Applicants to this role require
- 2+ years of relevant planning experience within the Oil and Gas industry.
- Microsoft Project experience.
- Knowledge of construction and / or marine projects.
- HNC (or above) in an Engineering / Science based subject – preferred but not essential.
- Planning / Project Control Qualification – preferred.
- Oracle Primavera risk analysis certification / experience – preferred but not essential.
