Currently recruiting for an experienced SAP Coordination Team Lead on a contract basis for an Oil and Gas Operator based in Westhill, Aberdeenshire. This is a maternity cover contract position and the contract will likely last from January 2020 to March 2021. Reporting to the Business Applications Leader, the SAP Coordination Team Lead will be responsible for SAP governance and coordination, as well as ensuring full SOX compliance for IS related controls. The job holder will manage the full software cycle, including business analysis and consultancy, application development, implementation and support, project management and the translation of business requirements / processes into structured, supportable solutions.

The SAP Coordination Team Lead will have the following main duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensuring an effective SAP coordination service for the affiliate.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong SAP governance within the affiliate.
  • Effectively leading a team of skilled business analysts (staff and contractors).
  • Taking responsibility and project manage significant IS / business related projects (SAP migrations, divestments, interface upgrades etc), managing the functional analysis to ensure that they are implemented on time and within budget.
  • Responsible for IS business analysis, business cases, project management, solution design / architecture and consultancy services to the whole organisation.
  • Assisting in preparation of relevant IS strategic plans and budgets, working closely with Business Process Owners, as well as key and lead users, providing necessary direction to the Business as required.
  • Negotiating independently with third parties to ensure cost-effective, consistent, robust and reliable solutions are implemented and maintained to the quality of SLA’s agreed.
  • Responsible for the provision of SAP HR functional support, working with relevant 3rd party providers to ensure the best possible service is delivered.
  • Ensuring that Support Teams adhere to defined procedures regarding SOX compliance and actively contributing to SOX processes for SAP related activities.
  • Ensuring obligations are met with regards to SAP training, SAP user information forums, SAP documentation and SOX administration.
  • Reviewing change / enhancement requests to ensure there is a business justification and that they are cost-effective and technically sound.

Experience / Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar SAP Coordination Team Lead position, within the Oil and Gas Industry, is essential.
  • Applicants will be expected to have experience in leading a team within the SAP domain and have experience in managing a diverse SAP community.
  • Applicants will be expected to possess knowledge of SOX processes.
  • Applicants will be expected to possess project management experience.
