Assistant Accountant required for a 6-month contract based north of Aberdeen. This position would suit an experienced Assistant Accountant with experience of the oil and gas industry and working towards their professional accountancy qualification / part qualified.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, your duties will include:
- Preparing accurate financial information for the ledger, including intercompany, fixed assets and banking.
- Preparing reporting for the ledger.
- Supporting the Ledger Accountant with cash flow forecasts, balance sheet reconciliations, aging analysis, SOX reporting and variance analysis.
- Ensuring the ledger is in compliance with all accounting regulations, company policies and reporting requirements.
- Liaising with internal and external Audit Teams.
- Preparing monthly HRMC and VAT reconciliations.
