Contracts Advisor - VR/21431
Contracts Advisor required to join a leading name in oilfield rentals and services. This is a key role within the organisation, reporting directly to the GeoMarket President and regular interface with the General Counsel. This is a permanent position based in the Bridge of Don area of Aberdeen.
As Contracts Advisor, your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing new contracts at the tendering stage, identifying any clauses that may be detrimental to the organisation and taking exceptions as necessary.
- Seeking approvals in line with the company contracting policy.
- Providing assistance to the BD Teams regarding any contractual / commercial issues that arise during the tender process (including tax, insurance and guarantee issues).
- Providing support when presenting the company’s position to the Senior Management Team; highlighting any areas of significant commercial risk.
- Providing input into contract administration processes (variations, change orders, formal notices etc).
- Updating the contracts register and monitoring renewal dates.
- Liaising with clients and subcontractors.
- Negotiating NDS.
- Assisting in the resolution of contractual claims and disputes.
Applicants to this position should offer previous experience in a similar role (preferably with an oil service company) and will ideally be degree qualified in a legal or commercial discipline. You should have excellent negotiation and communication skills, as well as a focus on delivering results and tackling problems.
