TMM Recruitment is supporting a world leading energy company in their search for a Legal Administrative Assistant. The Legal Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the legal department. This is a temporary position through to November initially however as this is a core position it is likely to be extended.

   

Reporting to the General Counsel, the main duties are:

  • Assisting the Company Secretary in ensuring that all statutory books and registers of the companies are maintained, and all statutory filings completed and submitted on a timely basis in order to meet the requirements of all statutory bodies.
  • Assisting the General Counsel and the members of the Legal Department in carrying out the day-to-day work and duties of the department.
  • Maintaining the databases used by the Legal Department for matter management.
  • Acting as IS correspondent for the Legal Department continuously updating on the functions of IS tools and developments relevant for the legal profession.
  • Maintaining the UK chart of companies involving all E&P, downstream, midstream and chemicals UK subsidiaries of the group (contacts, track of information).
  • Co-ordinating compliance with Group policies and procedures.
  • Filing of permits, contracts and relevant correspondence in accordance with Group policies and procedures.

      

Experience required:

  • Ability to act with autonomy, setting own priorities with regard to day-to-day work requirements
  • First class legal administrative and organisation skills to ensure strict deadlines are met.
  • Extensive experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant from a law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Extensive experience in maintaining databases used by legal professionals for matter management.
  • Extensive experience in operating IS tools used by legal professionals.
  • Excellent written communications skills.
  • Recognised training in and practical experience of Company Secretarial work.
