Reporting into the Partner, the Tax Manager sits within the firms busy Private Client function. You will hold responsibility for the following:

• Preparing income tax returns for individuals, Trusts and Estates, including at close of Estate administration.
• Preparing R185s forms for Trust beneficiaries.
• Preparing both quarterly and annual non-resident landlord income tax returns and tax certificates.
• Provisioning of inheritance tax advice – including advice on the applicability of agricultural and business reliefs.
• Provisioning advice on the reporting of Capital Gains Tax including preparation of capital gains tax computations, real time capital gains tax reporting and advice on related reliefs such as holdover relief, roll over relief and entrepreneurs’ relief.
• Registering new Trusts with HMRCs Trust Registration Service.

It would beneficial if you have prior experience of Trust and Estate accounting within a law firm. It would also be advantageous if you possessed a good working knowledge of CCH tax software. You should approach all work with a professional manner and be able to communicate with the wider team.
