Procurement & Contract Supervisor required to join a drilling contractor in the Westhill area. The primary purpose of this role is to manage procurement, vendor and contracts activities within the organisation, ensuring that supply chain goals and objectives are understood.

                         

As Procurement & Contract Supervisor, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring KPIs are met through the supervision, monitoring and analysing of procurement activities.
  • Vendor master management and maintenance of data to ensure consistent, cost-effective purchasing.
  • Maintaining good supplier relationships to achieve company best interests.
  • Liaising with supply chain colleagues to support the evaluation of suppliers and managing supplier agreements / contracts.
  • Implementing purchasing and sourcing strategies to improve quality, reduce cost and offer competitive advantages to the business.
  • Producing and analysing reports on supply chain KPIs and procurement performance; present findings to Senior Management to influence strategic decision making.
  • Supervising audit activities; ensuring compliance to SOX and P2P.
  • Monitoring the PO and invoicing process to eliminate any discrepancies and ensuring the adherence of Buyers and suppliers.
  • Planning and implementing the ERP procurement system and providing system support where required.
  • Participating in the preparation of proposals, as well as the negotiation and administration of contracts.
  • Forecasting and tracking global procurement demands.
  • Ensuring procurement and sourcing best practices are adopted and maintained.
  • Mentoring and training Buyers; ensuring competence and development towards their next level.

                     

Applicants to this position should offer proven experience in a similar role, with extensive knowledge of procurement, logistics and costing. You will ideally have an understanding of inventory management, stock control and exposure to freight / customs work. A degree qualification in Supply Chain (or relevant field) would be a benefit, as would international experience.
