Experienced Procurement Specialist required to join a leading name in subsea services for an initial 6-month contract.

   

As Procurement Specialist, you’ll support project teams in the effective procurement of goods and services. You’ll take on responsibility for inputting accurate information to the company’s procurement system, creating purchase orders and acting as the liaison between the company and their vendors.

    

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing goods and services in a timely manner, selecting the most appropriate methods and utilising existing agreements where appropriate.
  • Monitoring the timely delivery and expediting of ordered materials, equipment and services to the designated location.
  • Working closely with the Accounts Payable Team to resolve invoice queries.
  • Contributing to, and monitoring, efficiencies (cost, lead time, quality, etc.) identified as a result of consolidated purchasing and planning of requirements.
  • Resolution of disputes with vendors through effective engagement and negotiation.
  • Supporting all aspects of the business with regards procurement and expediting goods, equipment and services.
  • Supporting and working cohesively with the Logistics and Materials function to ensure accurate information is provided for the creation of manifests, commercial invoices and all other relevant paperwork.
  • Continuous engagement with vendors to review and evaluate performance.

    

Applicants to this role should offer previous experience in a similar position. It’s essential that you have an understanding of LOGIC contracting principles, the ability to negotiate commercial terms and experience in the use of Procurement/ERP systems. A CIPS Qualification, or similar Supply Chain accreditation, would be preferred but is not essential.
