Working with one of the largest in the energy service companies in the UK the Production Assistant plays a vital role. This is a temporary position in the Aberdeen and surrounding area, this role is well-suited to applicants who hold previous experience in a similar role and a valid Forklift Certificate.

As a Production Assistant, you will be asked to do a multitude of different tasks on a daily basis.

     

Duties and Responsibilities:

   

Assisting with the despatch and packaging of WIP and completed items for shipments to third party suppliers and end clients.

  • Assisting workshop personnel to process goods for shipping in line with sales order delivery requirements.
  • Completing the preparation and packaging of goods according to the quality policies and procedures as presented in the packaging training including packing and crating.
  • Recording all relevent product details as a part of the quality control policy.
  • Assisting in the delivery and despatch of WIP and completed goods with the Customer Services Department.

          

Workshop Duties and Spool Movements:

  • Assisting the Material Coordinator to optimise the flow of product through out the production plant and within the yard.
  • Assisting with forklift and crane manouvers throughout the plant in accordance with operator training.
  • Adhering to the area QHSSE policies and procedures in accordance with task training provided.
  • Maintaining workshop housekeeping.

    

Forklift Movements:

  • Operate a forklift according QHSSE policy and procedures following the training provided
  • Assit all departments in loading/unloading vehicles when requested by supervisor.
  • Transport material between departments and where required between Phase 1 and Phase 2 adhering to the QHSSE guidelines in all areas
  • Assisting with spool movements during busy periods as directed.
  • Reporting accurate operational activity within the Timetrac system relevant to the work order task, time taken and quantity completed.
  • Operating consistently to the task training provided, highlighting potential areas of improvement as they occur to ensure efficiency is continuously improved.  

     

Inventory Duties:

  • Assisting the workshop personnel to complete inventory movements as required for sales orders.
  • Supervising JDE operation for booking completed goods to stock and ship confirming all crated goods ready for collection.
  • Ensuring full traceability is maintained for all goods during handling and packaging activities.
