Currently recruiting for a Project Services Lead for an Oil & Gas Operator based in central Aberdeen. It is a 12-month contract role and the company is open to recruiting either a PAYE or a Ltd Co contractor - however, if Ltd Co was the preference, then the contractor would be subject to an IR35 assessment.

      

This is a key project position and it’s a relatively unique cross-project role.  The Project Services Lead will work closely with the Project Manager, the project management team and other key project stakeholders.  This role would be suited to a candidate who has a strong project engineering background within an Operator environment.    

      

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Services Lead would have the following main duties and responsibilities:

      

  • Facilitating and maintaining the Project Change Control and Risk Management processes.
  • Ensuring risks, opportunities and associated mitigation activities are identified and managed.
  • Ensuring project compliance with the Major Project Governance and Assurance framework.
  • Maintaining project execution plan.
  • Ensuring relevant project progress reports are maintained and distributed in accordance with project reporting requirements.
  • Responsible for the coordination and close-out of Concession / Deviation Requests, ensuring Concession / Deviation Requests are closed out within an acceptable timeframe.
  • Responsible for the coordination and close-out of Technical Queries (TQs), ensuring TQs are closed out within an acceptable timeframe.
  • Responsible for the coordination of Interface Management Requests (IMRs) and ensuring IMRs are closed out within an acceptable timeframe.
  • Responsible for performance management reporting for the assigned project.
  • Coordinating lessons learned and knowledge transfer within the assigned project.
  • Continuously monitoring the practicability and the benefit of processes and tools included in the project management system and suggest improvements.
  • Proactively contributing to the ongoing development of Project Services and Information Management (IM) processes, tools and IT systems to meet the ongoing requirements of the project.
  • Supporting internal audits and project reviews, as required.
  • Expediting project close out activities.
  • Possibly providing support in the successful delivery of brownfield modifications.

      

Experience / Qualifications:

      

  • Previous project engineering experience, within an Oil and Gas Operator environment, is essential.
  • Extensive experience within the Oil and Gas industry is essential.
  • Experience with formal project management and information management systems is essential.
