QC Inspection Supervisor - VR/21414
We are currently looking for a QC Inspection Supervisor which will involve the close monitoring of all Quality Control activities and ensuring the inspection of product and materials to specified requirements including project ITP requirements and approved specifications, drawings. This is a permanent, staff role and previous QC supervisory experience is essential.
Experience
Required:
A minimum of 5 years working within a quality control discipline, with at least 2 of these years experience working in a role leading teams of inspectors.
Experienced in use of various monitoring and measuring devices and understanding of calibration requirements e.g. UKAS, certification requirements.
Relevant industry technical codes and standards e.g. BS EN 10204, NACE.
Mechanical / metallurgical principles, e.g. radiography, NDT / NDE.
Relevant previous experience providing coaching, mentoring and development on Quality Control activities.
Desirable:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
Formal supervisory and/or leadership Training or Qualifications and Experience.
Understanding of Quality management principles, tools / techniques and terminology i.e. PDCA, ISO9000.
Skills and Training
Required:
Able to read manufacturing/geometrical drawings.
Proficient in the use of the latest version of Microsoft Office.
Clear and effective communication skills, both written and oral.
Pleasant and articulate manner works well independently and as part of a team.
Organised, analytical and systematic with an enthusiastic approach to problem solving
Self-motivated and able to work under pressure and prioritise workloads.
Good organisational, literacy and numeracy skills.
Effective presentation skills.
A can do / will do approach to work.
Attention to detail - manages and records deliverables with a high level of accuracy.
Understanding of calibration requirements e.g. UKAS, certification requirements.
Desirable:
Capable of presentation and discussion at Senior Management level.
Enthusiasm for self-development and progression and for development, coaching and mentoring of personnel.
