As Senior Contracts Specialist for Decommissioning, you’ll support the management and coordination of all four phases of the Procurement Process including strategy development, pre-qualification, tender evaluation / negotiation, and post award management of Decommissioning and ad-hoc cross-department contract requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supporting the strategy development, tendering, evaluation and negotiation process in relation to the award of high value/complex contracts for Decommissioning scopes including multi-asset EPRD projects.
• Providing ad-hoc contracts and procurement support to other areas as requested by the Contracts and Procurement Manager.
• Supporting the delivery of an effective contracts management service to the projects function in compliance with corporate policies.
• Supporting the development and management of detailed procurement plans and working closely with the Contracts Lead and Project Managers to prepare tender strategies and ITT documentation where required.
• Responsibility for provision of post-award administration support, including contract amendment, variation management and administration.
• Ensuring all NCR’s and performance issues are reviewed for contracts recourse opportunities and tracking all recourse outcomes.
• Supporting all supplier contract performance and relationship management in accordance with the Contracts Management plans.
• Tracking and reporting all generated savings in the savings register.
• Preparing detailed quantitative and qualitative evaluation of tenders including assessment of contract risk.
• Liaising with project stakeholders to evaluate tenders, obtain contract award approvals and contract execution.
• Supporting the contractual and commercial negotiations in accordance with contracting principles, ensuring risk mitigation and commercial optimisation. 
• Responsibility for provision of post-award administration support including contract amendment and variation administration.
• Supporting the contract dispute resolution process.
• Responsibility for key supplier performance and relationship management, including frequent performance feedback sessions, utilising FPAL feedback as appropriate.
• Providing specialist advice and guidance to project team members on contracting and other supply chain matters.
• Ensuring cost / budget tracking, CTR management and milestone / invoice review.

Applicants to this vacancy should offer significant experience in a similar Senior Contracts Specialist role, ideally within an oil and gas operator or service company. You should have extensive experience of EPIC and large-scale contracts and a detailed knowledge of LOGIC contract models. You’ll need strong experience of contract and commercial negotiation and a proven ability to build relationships with suppliers and vendors. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is a willingness to be ‘hands on’ to manage all types of contracts; large and small.

Experience in Decommissioning and EPRD projects is preferred but not essential.
