This is a new role to our client’s business, presenting an experienced Supply Chain Lead with the opportunity to join a global leader in the services they provide to the oil and gas industry.

   

By taking on the role of Supply Chain Lead, you’ll be responsible for the manufacture, supply, quality control and warehousing of all purchased goods, as well as ensuring the costing of inventory, new assets and relevant systems are accurately maintained with correct stock levels within the EARC region. You’ll also be responsible for maximising logistical efficiency and minimising inventory costs, whist maintaining adequate levels to meet demand.

      

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implementing a consistent and effective procurement process in accordance with globally specified standards and procedures.
  • Ensuring all vendors are aware of, and consistently satisfy, the company quality standards and that audits are undertaken regularly to demonstrate this.
  • Ensuring all vendors are aware of the expected standards and are adhering to these (e.g. on time and within budget) and that supplier performance issues are addressed in real time.
  • The inspection and quality assurance of all newly delivered parts and equipment.
  • Managing and training the UK-based Supply Chain Team to comply with the company procurement process and quality standards.
  • Ensuring newly manufactured assets meet the group quality standards, delivery times and costs.
  • Proactively assisting regional teams with new CAPEX and OPEX equipment requests.
  • Liaising with regional operational teams to ensure optimum inventory levels for all product lines are maintained across the region.
  • Ensuring the sufficient and efficient supply of tool spares and consumables to the locations within the region and working with the other regions to optimise inventory utilisation.
  • Leading and managing your direct reports, ensuring their competency to fulfil the requirements of their role, as well as supporting and leading their proactive development.

     

To be shortlisted for this opportunity, you’ll need extensive experience of supply chain, manufacturing and quality control; with demonstrable experience of supply chain management, supplier performance analysis and warehouse operations.

     

You’ll need proven negotiation skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills. This role is well suited to a self-starter, with a proactive approach to problem solving and the ability to create and contribute new ideas and processes.
