Tax Analyst - VR/22868
Running till the end of the year, this temporary assignment will sit within the JV Tax group to provide support across the full range of tax compliance and tax accounting for a major Oil Operator. This is an entry level role and whilst previous exposure within a tax environment would be extremely advantageous, those with 1-3 years accounts experience (no greater) will be considered for the post. Previous exposure within an Operator environment and with SAP would also be preferable.
Reporting into the Senior Tax Adviser you will be responsible for the following:
- Providing support with preparation of PRT returns and claims for all PRT fields.
- Collating and analysing accounting data to support PRT compliance process.
- PRT administration including maintenance of PRT assessment histories and expenditure claim summaries.
- Assisting with preparation of quarterly PRT provision, including collation of relevant accounting data and analysis.
- Assisting with PRT accounting true-up work in respect of PRT estimates to actuals.
- Assisting Tax Advisor/Senior Tax Advisor in responding to HMRC queries and enquiries.
- Undertaking accounting analysts to support preparation of JV annual PSA return and Tax Award Scheme submission.
- Collating and analyse accounting data to support preparation of monthly VAT return and ongoing VAT compliance and risk mitigation.
- Helping with the timely filing of CT returns.
- Providing support to Senior Tax Advisor with annual R&D tax claims, including the relevant accounting analysis.
