Workshop Foreman (Fabrication) – VR/25360
We are looking to recruit a Workshop Foreman on behalf of our client on a permanent basis to be working out of their fabrication workshop in Insch. For more information please get in touch.
The Workshop Foreman is the focal point of the workshop and is their main responsibility to ensure that the end product meets client requirements and delivered in the specified time as well as supporting and developing the Workshop Team of 40. Ensuring the Workshop Team are working in the most safe and efficient manor whilst working to support the Project Engineer to meet targets and goals outlined by the Management Team. The successful candidate must have the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects at once, with the understanding that the client’s delivery date is always our target, every time.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Monitoring and tracking project(s) deliverables, schedule etc.
- Reporting to Project Manager to update on project progress.
- Ensuring individuals are kept informed of their responsibilities by regular instruction and effective communication, such as tool-box talks.
- Recording, assessing, planning, and implementing any variation orders.
- Providing support on a technical level to the Workshop Team.
- Ensuring the adoption of safe working procedures and providing a safe place of work.
- Updating management system of all project feedback.
Applicants to this role require
- 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Fabrication background required.
- Proven leadership and ability to drive staff.
- The ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
