To load and unload containers/tanks from within the workshop and refurbishment areas of the yard. In addition, carry out general work around the site as requested in line with training provided.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Loading and unloading containers/tanks in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with Forklift Code of Practice at all times.
• Ensuring blast, paint and welder bays are turned over in a timely and safe manner.
• Loading and unloadingd items such as steel, blast grit, pallets and other items from transport in accordance with risk assessments and work instructions.
• Carrying out general work around the site as required including housekeeping and container maintenance.
• Ensuring forklift truck is checked prior to use on a daily basis. Any faults to be reported immediately.
