Accountant – VR/24908
We are exclusively working on an exciting opportunity for an Accountant within a prestigious oil and gas organisation within the city centre of Aberdeen. The ideal candidate will have some industry experience and be part qualified or have the desire to begin their professional accountancy qualifications. Experience in a similar role would be desired or someone looking to step up into a bigger role. Excellent salary and benefits package on offer.
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, your role will include:
- Providing information to Finance Managers and assisting in the annual budget and quarterly reforecast processes.
- Managing banking facilities including all supplier, payroll, tax and bank funding payments, and preparing weekly cash summary position and forecast.
- Preparing monthly joint venture billings and partner reports.
- Applying, developing and maintaining appropriate financial control processes and procedures.
- Providing information to Finance Managers and assisting in preparing the monthly board pack.
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
- Preparing monthly balance sheet account reconciliations for selected group legal entities.
- Assisting in preparing cost share estimates and actualisations.
- Assisting in the annual statutory accounting process.
- Deputising for the Senior Accountant.
