Working in a small Finance Team, your role will initially be varied – you will have a nice blend of transactional responsibilities within AP and AR, cash and banking, but also help prepare Group accounts to trial balance stage, balance sheet reconciliations and accruals and prepayments.

This role would suit someone who is eager to progress into the role of Management Accountant within time, exposing themselves to a business that is expanding and diversifying their customer offering.

Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the following:

• Preparing month end journals including accruals, prepayments and depreciation.
• Preparing 2 sets of accounts to trial balance.
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations.
• Preparing weekly cashflow and subsequent forecasting.
• Preparing monthly cash and bank reconciliations.
• Preparing quarterly VAT returns.
• Posting bank entries on a weekly basis.
• Receipting, registering and coding of purchase invoices on a daily basis.
• Validating invoices, processing expense claims.
• Reviewing supplier statements.
• Preparing and issuing sales invoices.
• Preparing and issuing intercompany invoices, undertaking intercompany reconciliations.

You will be able to interact with stakeholders at all levels, have a “can do” attitude and be able to work to tight deadlines.
