Opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join an organisation with a track record of success spanning more than four decades. This is a full-time, permanent position, based at the company’s office in Aberdeen. A hybrid working arrangement is also available.

   

As Commercial Manager, you’ll have strategic responsibility for ensuring the company’s commercial, sales and marketing policies and activities are developed and implemented to meet targets for business growth, retention and profitability.

      

You’ll also be responsible for the ongoing development of the Commercial Team, focusing on delivery of account growth plans and business development, aligned to annual financial targets.

          

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing a commercial strategy that grow the company’s market share.
  • Creating strong relationships with senior contacts with key customers, target accounts and relevant associated businesses.
  • Effectively managing Account Managers to ensure retention of market share and delivery of targeted growth through existing / new account strategic development.
  • Effectively managing the Rental Coordination Team, ensuring the timely answering of enquires and collection/delivery of equipment.
  • Working with Key Account Managers and Commercial Team to develop a list of target accounts and implementation of agreed sales plan to increase market share.
  • Managing new Product Development programmes and associated marketing, launch and sales activities.
  • Developing and deploying suitable measurement and reporting tools using CRM to assess local Sales Team performance.
  • Engaging with all customers to ensure appropriate use of the tool and that maximum benefit is being derived.
  • Ownership of market share data, marketing activity and competitor information.
  • Working closely with Operations Management to plan current and future rental fleet requirements.
  • Ensuring all strategic accounts have account plans in place and that appropriate individual opportunities are managed.
  • Developing and delivering annual revenue budget as well as quarterly forecast adjustments as required.
  • Responsibility for Commercial restructuring as per agreed budgets and plans.
  • Ownership of contractual reviews and pricing strategy.
  • Delivering commercial reporting for global strategic accounts.
  • Liaising with the Finance Team to ensure customer debt is minimised and a debt recovery plan is in place where required.
