Reporting directly to the Finance Director and working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, this role is critical in consolidating financial results across the group, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making.

       

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and consolidating monthly management accounts and balance sheet notes for all group entities.
  • Issuing monthly management charges, update the transfer pricing file, and perform variance analysis with detailed commentary.
  • Conducting monthly group balance sheet reviews, manage intercompany reconciliations, and overseeing cash flow analysis.
  • Handling bank reconciliations, post transactions, and preparing quarterly group VAT returns.
  • Assisting in the preparation of annual audits and providing support during peak periods.
  • Mentoring junior Finance Team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborating closely with the Finance Director and CFO to drive financial efficiency across the organisation.

          

Experience and knowledge required:

The ideal applicant will be an experienced accountant who is either newly qualified (ICAS, ACCA, CIMA) or have significant experience as a Management Accountant. Proficiency in Sage 200 and Excel would be beneficial. You should demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. A proactive, problem-solving approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are key to success in this role.
