Join a leading subsea oil and gas company who are looking for a HSE Superintendent on a Permanent staff basis to join their office in Westhill, Aberdeenshire.

     

As the HSE Superintendent, you will have the following main duties and responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining systems and procedures to continually improve the company’s HSE performance.
  • Encouraging and promoting best practice throughout the company’s operations both on and offshore
  • Providing advice, guidance and information relating to all HSE matters, existing and proposed legislation, codes of practice, industry standards etc., as well as procedures and organisation necessary to comply with them.
  • Ensuring compliance with new and existing regulatory, voluntary, or expected customer standards.
  • Conducting and facilitating risk assessments, development of HSE plans and other relevant documentation in support of the company fleet operations.
  • Interfacing with all onshore, offshore, and other relevant parties on HSE matters.
  • Monitoring the safety performance and key performance indicators of assigned vessels and intervene when required.
  • Monitoring compliance with management system standards (i.e., ISM Code, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Monitoring effectiveness of safety awareness programmes providing support and guidance.
  • Leading or supporting incident investigation and contribute as required.
  • Ensuring incident reports are timely drafted in consultation with asset operations / subsea business units.
  • Assisting with post incident management and close-out of any incidents with relevant parties.
  • Coordinating close out of findings or recommendations, for improvements that may arise from HSE and audit activity with the responsible Manager.
  • Carrying out internal and external HSE audits of worksites and any subcontractor activities.
  • Providing support to ensure that non-conformances, defects and deficiencies relating to HSE matters are reported, and that corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence.
  • Cooperating with other departments, ensuring that sufficient training and instruction in HSE matters is provided for the workforce.
  • Liaising with external bodies as required.
  • Proactively offering HSE related solutions that will improve OneFleet HSE performance and compliance.

     

Required Qualifications:

  • A relevant HSE qualification to national examination board in occupational safety and health (NEBOSH) diploma level or equivalent.
  • Auditor accredited with ISM/ISO accredited organisation.
  • Active member of a recognised professional body for safety and health (e.g., IOSH).
  • Experience of delivering HSE training and behavioural based safety training.

      

Required experience:

  • A relevant HSE qualification to national examination board in occupational safety and health (NEBOSH) diploma level or equivalent.
  • Auditor accredited with ISM / ISO accredited organisation.
  • Active member of a recognised professional body for safety and health (e.g., IOSH).
  • Experience of delivering HSE training and behavioural based safety training.
  • 3+ years of providing HSE advice in a dynamic offshore marine environment within the construction industry would be preferred.
