HSEQ Advisor - VR/27248
Join an award-winning oil and gas maintenance company who are currently looking for a HSEQ Advisor on a permanent staff basis based at their office in Dyce. Competitive package on offer along with hybrid working.
As the HSEQ Advisor, you will have the following main duties and responsibilities:
Health & Safety
- Supporting and implementing UK HSEQ Objectives and programmes.
- Maintaining legal compliance.
- Driving continuous improvements through leading and lagging performance management.
- Supporting the business in review of health, safety and environmental legal registers.
- Supporting Service and Contract Delivery.
- Accident / incident investigation.
- Hazard identification and risk assessment.
- Occupational Health and Hygiene requirements.
- Participating in business Emergency Response requirements.
- Work pack HSEQ requirements: review and sign-off.
Operational Support
- Providing guidance and coaching on HSEQ aspects pertinent to the contract.
- Supporting the induction and on-boarding programme.
- Maintaining knowledge and understanding of HS&E legislation in area of responsibility.
Quality
- Supporting regional Integrated Management System (IMS) including maintenance of IMS procedures.
- Supporting business delivery of relevant HSEQ plans.
- Supporting business in the delivery of the company audit plans.
- Supporting relevant systems for continuous improvement.
Customer Relations
- Liaising with key internal and external stakeholders to produce HSEQ performance metrics.
- Liaising with customers to develop and produce relevant interface documents.
- Attending / facilitating customer meetings in relation to HSEQ elements.
Key Experience / Qualifications:
Essential
- Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate (NGC) and working towards NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational H&S or equivalent (NVQ, degree).
- Lead Auditor qualification.
- COSHH Assessor.
- Fully comprehensive understanding and interpretation of UK Health and Safety legislation.
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Thorough oral, listening and written communication skills.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Extensive level of experience in HSSEQ role.
- Experience of leading audits – execution and receiving.
- Experienced in Regulatory / external stakeholder liaison.
- Extensive understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation and it’s relevancy to this organisation.
Desirable
- Experience working for or with major oil and gas companies.
- Previous experience working in an operational environment including offshore.
- Experience working on decommissioning projects.
- Experience working on construction projects.
- Incident Investigation and root cause analysis Qualification.
- Graduate Membership of IOSH or IIRSM (H&S).
Additional Requirements
Offshore trips may be required on an ad-hoc basis to support the contract.
