A dynamic opportunity has emerged for a JV Procurement Manager to be at the forefront of a transformative project driving the development of EV hubs across the UK and Ireland. With an ambitious plan to establish 300 hubs over the next 5 years, this role is pivotal in ensuring that procurement operations are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with the highest standards of quality and innovation.

     

Your Role: Powering the EV Revolution

As the JV Procurement Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic Procurement: Developing and implementing a comprehensive procurement strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s growth and sustainability goals.
  • Electricity Supply Management: Leading the electricity supply strategy, securing cost-effective and reliable energy sources.
  • Supplier Relations: Negotiating and managing contracts with key suppliers, ensuring optimal terms and compliance with company standards.
  • Tender Process Leadership: Overseeing tender processes, ensuring competitive and transparent procurement activities.
  • Insightful Reporting: Providing monthly analytical reports on supply chain trends to inform strategic decisions.
  • Cost Management: Identifying and implementing cost-saving initiatives across the business.
  • Supplier Evaluation: Regularly assessing supplier performance, conducting audits to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Policy Development: Supporting the creation and refinement of procurement policies and procedures.
  • Market Intelligence: Staying informed about UK power market trends to guide procurement decisions.

     

What You Bring: Expertise and Vision

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Proven Experience: A strong background in procurement, particularly within engineering or energy sectors.
  • Qualifications: Relevant purchasing qualifications (CIPS L3 or equivalent) and a degree in business administration or a related field.
  • Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
  • Commercial Acumen: Experience in commodity trading or commercial negotiation is advantageous.
  • Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Organisational Skills: High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
