Fantastic opportunity available to join a rapidly expanding specialist provider serving the oil and gas, construction, and geothermal sectors. As Management Accountant, you'll become an integral member of a small team, playing a key role in their continuous growth journey.

    

Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller the Management Accountant holds a diverse role and will be involved in all aspects of the finance and administrative operations of the business.

        

Duties will include:

  • Preparing income statements, balance sheets, and other financial documents, potentially involving redesign and presentation.
  • Assisting the Group Financial Controller in updating trading and cash flow forecasts.
  • Assisting in developing and maintaining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each business segment, incorporating into monthly reporting packs.
  • Ensuring accurate costing of various profit centres to support pricing strategies and decision-making.
  • Measuring the company’s financial performance based on financial records.
  • Identifying areas of concern and presenting actionable recommendations to company management.
  • Conducting audits of departments within the organisation.
  • Overseeing other aspects of financial operations such as bookkeeping and payroll.
  • Assessing and enhancing financial information systems, proposing improvements as necessary.
  • Communicating and interpreting financial data for non-financial managers.
  • Reviewing sales invoices before submission by the Accounts Assistant.
  • Weekly credit control activities.
  • Any other duties as requested by the Group Financial Controller.

              

Applicants to this role require:

  • An accounting qualification such as CIMA, ACCA or equivalent or be actively studying towards one.
  • Proficiency in Sage and advanced Excel skills are preferred.
  • Familiarity with Insphire software would be advantageous but not mandatory, along with a basic understanding of payroll.
  • Professionalism, discretion, and meticulous attention to detail are crucial for this role.
