shmu is one of the core cultural organisations in North East Scotland and is at the forefront of community media development in the UK. shmu supports residents in the 7 regeneration areas of Aberdeen in radio and video production, traditional and on-line publications, music production and digital inclusion. The organisation also supports other disadvantaged communities, including an employability and training arm and a programme for offenders, both pre and post-release. 

On a mission to use media to creatively transform lives, shmu has grown from strength to strength and has seriously big ambitions for its future. Achieving shmu's aims requires organised, co-ordinated effort and smooth-running operational support for all of the project teams and senior management.

You’ll make a significant difference at shmu by:

  • Working alongside the Senior Support Team to provide a high standard of administrative support across the organisation.
  • Supporting the finance officer administer expenses, claims, and data input.
  • Assisting the communications team to collate content and minute meetings.
  • Being an enthusiastic and personable member of the team.
