As a Senior Controller you will provide financial support to the Finance Department to ensure that external reporting requirements are met and ensuring an effective and efficient control environment exists. This will be a diverse role, covering statutory reporting, ensuring financial integrity of the balance sheet as well as supporting the team in understanding the impact of technical accounting issues.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Providing audit and statutory reporting support, including preparing UK statutory accounts, liaising with group, local and overseas auditors and ensuring information provided in a timely manner.
• Responsible for balance sheet reporting and integrity through reviewing of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, highlighting risk and opportunity areas to management.
• Supporting Finance Manager in ensuring an effective control environment exists.
• Assisting Finance Manager in providing technical accounting guidance to Finance Team.
• Supporting the group monthly reporting process including inputs and reporting packs.
• Responsible for managing the intercompany process.

Applicants to this role require

• ICAS / ACCA qualification or similar or studying towards professional qualification. QBE is also considered.
• Relevant experience in liaising with statutory auditors.
• Experience in external and statutory reporting is preferred.
• The ability to effectively manage own workload and work within timescales ensuring requirements are met.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Adaptability and problem-solving capability.
