An exciting opportunity for an experienced Tendering Project Manager to oversee and deliver tenders for marine geophysical services across Europe and Africa. This role focuses on managing the full tender process, from initial enquiry through to contract negotiation, ensuring high-quality proposals and commercial success. Ideal for individuals with a solid background in tendering, proposal management, and contract planning within the offshore geophysical or environmental sectors.

     

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Client Engagement: Acting as the first point of contact for clients, understanding their needs and supporting them with tailored solutions. Developing strong relationships by keeping clients informed of technical advancements and value propositions.
  • Proposal Management: Leading the creation, review, and delivery of proposals, coordinating with internal teams and ensuring all proposals meet high-quality standards and client expectations. Presenting proposals to Senior Management for approval.
  • Contract Negotiation: Managing the end-to-end process of contract negotiations, from reviewing invitations to planning for contract awards. Overseeing scheduling and resource allocation to ensure that contract performance aligns with business objectives.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborating with Project Managers, Technical Experts, Legal, and other departments to ensure seamless contract delivery. Delegating tasks effectively and supporting colleagues in meeting project goals.
  • Project Preparation & Execution: Ensuring all proposals and contracts are delivered on time, managing risks related to health, safety, security, environment (HSSE), finances, and technical considerations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Engaging in project and business performance reviews with clients, facilitating feedback for improvements. Supporting lessons learned initiatives internally and externally to drive business innovation and operational efficiency.
  • Leadership & Development: Mentoring less experienced employees, contributing to their professional development, and supporting Project Managers by providing commercial assistance throughout the project lifecycle.

      

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Higher professional education or equivalent qualifications.
  • Demonstrated expertise in offshore survey disciplines, ideally in a technical or management capacity, with a strong grasp of marine geophysical or environmental survey operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with clients and stakeholders at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to manage diverse workloads and prioritise effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a high level of numeracy.
  • A collaborative team player, able to work independently when necessary.
  • Passion for continuous learning, delivering results, and contributing to business success.
