TMM Recruitment is partnering with a renowned, well-established business services provider who is looking to appoint a permanent Business Development Manager to join their Leadership Team.

    

The new Business Development Manager will take responsibility for driving the organisation’s next phase of growth through the nurturing of the considerable existing customer base while also winning new clients.

      

The company is based in Aberdeen, however, this role can be carried out remotely although there may be a requirement to be present in person for internal and external engagements as the business demands.

      

Overview

A successful, well-established business service provider with many years’ of experience is looking for Business Development Manager to lead and drive the next phase of the company’s growth and beyond.  The organisation specialises in internet service provision, connectivity, telephony, cloud and data security this new position will have the responsibility for developing these services for existing and new customers.

     

Joining the Management Team and reporting to the CEO, the Business Development Manager will lead a tight knit sales and marketing function ensuring that a customer-based, solutions-oriented focus is maintained while delivering against targets.

    

     

Duties and Responsibilities

Following the difficult circumstances of the last couple of years, the Business Development Manager will lead the business in achieving the ambitious growth plans through management of the sales / business development function.

This role will have responsibility for both capitalising on the growth opportunities within the existing customer base and bringing in new business through the attraction of new clients.

The Business Development Manager will ensure that customers’ requirements are fully understood to enable the generation and delivery of comprehensive solutions.

     

     

Skills and Experience

The right candidate will;

  • Have a proven track record of succeeding within a competitive sales environment, specifically exceeding challenging sales targets.
  • Have an understanding of the actions required from a business development function in order to deliver results and growth.
  • Be an expert salesperson with a knowledge and understanding of the business services sector, or similar, within a comparable role, without needing to be conversant with the specific, technical detail of the IT services.
  • Be driven by numbers and results with a desire to succeed.
  • Have the ability to set out an action plan and manage specific KPIs both individually and across the team.
  • Be tenacious and resilient.
  • Be articulate with a clarity of communication, both written and verbal, when interacting with colleagues and customers across all levels.
