Proposals Engineer - VR/20017
Our client, based north of Aberdeen, has a new opportunity for a Proposals Engineer to join their Commercial Team on a permanent basis.
As Proposals Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the quotation process prior to award, from the initial preparation of quotation documents and full cost-budget, through to successful handover to the Operations Team.
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
- Liaising with the Business Development Team to process, log and track information on new business opportunities – subsequently providing quotations when required.
- Preparing cost budgets for each quotation; maximising margins across the project and present to Directors / Management for sign-off.
- Organising quotation kick-off meetings.
- Identifying terms and conditions at the earliest opportunity and pass these on to the Contract Specialist to review / approve before proceeding to quotation / bid stage.
- Preparing tender documents and pre-qualification of information as required.
- Tracking any outstanding quotes and follow-up accordingly.
- Ensuring tracking reports are updated and prepare weekly / monthly reporting data as required.
- Scheduling and conducting risk reviews.
Applicants to this role should offer previous experience in a similar role – with sound knowledge and understanding commercial, tender and quotation processes.
