Reporting to the Engineering Manager (Electrical, Electronics & Software), the Senior Electrical / Electronics Engineer will have the following main duties and responsibilities:

• Providing engineering design input to new products.
• Providing engineering support to the existing product range.
• Assessing technical queries and providing engineering solutions to a wide-ranging products portfolio.
• Liaising with internal departments, such as Sales, Procurement and Production, to ensure the best technical solution is provided in all instances.
• Sourcing suitable components and materials when required.
• Creating part numbers and bill of materials.
• Creating engineering documentation, such as specifications, proposals, assembly instructions, test procedures, certification and reports.
• Checking detailed manufacturing drawings and documentation.
• Ensuring engineering solutions are provided on time and within budget.
• Adhering to engineering and company standards and processes.
• Site visits to other Company offices and client assets, as and when required.
• Accountability and responsibility as technical approver of drawings and documentation generated within the Electrical, Electronic and Embedded Software Products Team.
• Managing team on performance, development, allocation / delegation of work, compliance to internal and external standards & regulations - as well as day to day management, such as approval of holidays, sickness leave and time reporting.

Experience / Qualifications:

• A relevant Electrical / Electronic Engineering Degree qualification would be preferred.
• Any relevant diving qualifications would be advantageous.
• Previous experience in a similar Electrical / Electronics Engineer, or Product Engineer, type role is essential.
• Proven electrical / electronics design experience is essential.
• Experience of circuit design, PCB layout and embedded software (MPLAB, ST32) is essential.
• Applicants will be expected to possess sound knowledge of electrical systems and design for EMC compliance.
• Applicants will be expected to have experience with PCB design software, such as Altium Designer (schematic capture and layout).
• Applicants will be expected to have experience with AutoCAD Electrical.
• Experience in the generation of design calculations is essential.
• Knowledge of design standards and industry guidelines, such as IMCA, is essential.
• Previous experience with a PLM system for generating and storing engineering packages is essential.
• Previous product design experience would be advantageous.
• Previous diving equipment design experience would be advantageous.
