Reporting to the Production Engineering Manager, the Senior Production Engineer will have the following main duties and responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing a wide range of production engineering support.
• Constructing and delivering the optimised Well Management Plan.
• Daily production / injection well and system performance monitoring. Diagnosis of well problems and recommend solutions.  Production optimisation through management of water injection, gas lift, off-take rates, sand management and regular well testing.
• Providing support to offshore production operations / drilling and well services. Providing a primary interface between Operations, Facilities, Subsurface and Well Services Teams.
• Creating / maintaining and updating well performance and integrated asset models.
• Leading well review meetings. Identifying well intervention opportunities and maturing these to execution.
• Generating production forecasts and injection targets.
• Establishing well test strategies.
• Flow Assurance – working with the Production Chemist and vendors to ensure optimal chemical management to mitigate wax and scale formation and design of scale squeeze treatments.
• Providing input to field development, exploration and drilling plans.
• Participating in peer reviews and contribute to management and joint venture partner meetings.
• Supporting the Asset Development Manager in opportunity identification and maturation.
• Supervising and coordinating activities of other Production Engineers.
• Project management.

Experience / Qualifications:

• A degree qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline is essential.
• Previous experience in a similar Senior Production Engineer type role, within the oil and gas industry, is essential.
• Previous experience in a similar role, directly with an oil and gas operator, would be preferred.
• Experience in production injection monitoring & forecasting, artificial and gas lift, ESPs, scale mitigation and well intervention is essential.
• Familiarity with engineering software, such as Prosper, GAP and OFM, is essential.
