Currently recruiting for an experienced 3D Animator on a permanent staff basis for an Oil and Gas company based in Aberdeenshire.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, and working alongside the Graphic Designer, the 3D Animator will be responsible for producing high quality and technically accurate animations and renders of company products and services, to be used for marketing and internal training purposes.

The 3D Animator will have the following main duties and responsibilities:

  • Developing high quality and technically accurate animations for a range of products and services, which can include:
  • Project workscopes: detailing the function of tools in relation to client’s pipework (Oil and Gas facilities).
  • Highlighting how tools are deployed and function.
  • Detailing the build sequence of tools for training purposes.
  • Producing high quality renders of products for use in marketing or training literature.
  • Creating video sequences for marketing and training purposes.
  • Preparing models and overseeing of printing process for in-house 3D printing.

Experience / Qualifications:

  • A Degree qualification in Digital Media, Animation or a similar design related subject - or several years’ experience in design, engineering or the computer games industry - is essential.
  • A practical understanding and experience of animation using 3ds Max and Adobe Creative Suite software is essential.
  • Knowledge of 3D animation and rendering software (3ds Max and Adobe Creative Suite) is essential.
  • Previous experience with Autodesk Inventor would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a technical or engineering animation role would be advantageous.
  • Applicants will be expected to have experience of working to brand guidelines.
