Reporting into the Regional Controller, the Accountant will support statutory filings and management accounting for multiple entities.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Collaborating with business segment leaders to analyse and review financial statements.
• Ensuring accurate and timely booking of management accounting entries.
• Providing recommendations for weaknesses identified in internal controls.
• Addressing AP/AR queries while working with the Transactional Team.
• Assisting with the preparation and submission of financial statements in line with local regulations.
• Communicating with regulatory authorities and external auditors as necessary.
• Ensuring timely filing of VAT, tax returns, and other statutory obligations.
• Overseeing the correct allocation of costs to business segments.
• Presenting balance sheet notes accurately and on time.
• Supporting additional projects as directed by the Regional Controller.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Familiarity with Oracle, FMS, or similar systems.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• In-depth understanding of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
• Recognised accounting qualification or currently pursuing one; experience will also be considered.
• Capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team.
• Effective project management and people management skills.
• Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail combined with solid analytical skills.
• Committed to quality and diligent in work efforts.
