Accounts Assistant - VR/27905
Our client based in Northwest Aberdeenshire is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. This is a varied role supporting the accounts team with duties such as management accounts and reporting. Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with Operations and Project Managers to gain a comprehensive understanding of projects, including their financial milestones, triggers for invoicing, and other financial considerations.
- Coordinating with operations to ensure timely generation of sales invoices for specific divisions or projects.
- Monitoring variation orders received from customers and maintaining effective communication with operations to provide regular status updates.
- Supporting the Management Accountant and Finance Coordinator in the management accounts process, which includes handling work in progress, cost to completion, stock, and revenue accruals.
- Conducting monthly analysis of accounts.
- Generating project financial reports, conducting relevant analysis, and engaging in discussions with Project Managers to ensure their financial comprehension prior to project review meetings.
- Managing job numbers, ensuring timely creation and closure of jobs.
- Assisting in the annual financial audit and fulfilling other annual reporting requirements.
- Aiding in the management of the stock system for stores and operations, which involves tasks such as overseeing high-value stock transfers, approving cycle counts, and adding new part numbers.
- Undertaking additional tasks as needed on an ad hoc basis.
