Assistant Accountant – VR/25091
We are exclusively working on an Assistant Accountant position for a global service organisation based in Dyce for a one-year maternity cover contract. This role would suit a candidate working at a similar level, ideally studying their professional accountancy qualification or who is part qualified. Oil and gas experience is not essential, however a strong working knowledge of SAP is preferred.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, your role will include:
- Preparing month end accruals.
- Processing employee expense claims.
- Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Management accounting.
- Effectively managing SAP inbox.
- Preparing GL reconciliations.
- Producing recharge invoices.
- Compiling weekly cash flow AR and AP reports.
- Running daily cash reports.
- Setting up bank payments.
- Downloading credit card statements, reconciling to receipts, and inputting into SAP system.
- Preparing and submitting quarterly surveys.
Qualifications
- Part-qualification / qualified would be an advantage.
Experience
- Previous experience in a similar accounting role.
- SAP experience desirable.

- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Willingness to take responsibility to resolve queries.
