Main duties and responsibilities:

• Identifying and acting on new business opportunities.
• Maintaining good quality business and customer relationships through providing excellent customer service.
• Selling multi-modal freight services.
• Monitoring competitor’s performance, ensuring that the company continues to maintain its competitive position in the industry.
• Keeping in contact with new and existing clients in order to maintain a good rapport.
• Developing all necessary procedures and processes to ensure that the sales function operates efficiently, effectively and achieves objectives.

Applicants to this position should have previous business development / sales experience within a freight forwarding environment. Essential skills also include; excellent customer service, confident on the phone, good IT literacy and being able to stay organised whilst effectively prioritising your workload.
