A 12-month contract opportunity is available for a skilled Commercial and Business Development Analyst in Aberdeen, with the potential for extension. This role is ideal for a professional with experience of financial and economic modelling within the UK energy sector. The position offers the chance to make a significant impact by evaluating both new and existing business opportunities through rigorous financial and economic analysis.

     

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining financial and economic models to assess business opportunities, identifying key value drivers, risks, and potential outcomes.
  • Providing timely and accurate analysis of contracts, commercial obligations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting the negotiation and executing standard commercial agreements in collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Conducting market research to identify new business development opportunities aligned with asset strategies.
  • Ensuring accuracy of public and external data, including maintaining information on key industry platforms.

      

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong understanding of the UK energy sector.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage complex financial and economic models.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and effectively.
  • Experience in project management, particularly with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in standard business software, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

      

Educational Qualifications:

  • Degree in a financial, business, or engineering discipline, or relevant experience in a similar role.
