Contracts Engineer - VR/21731
Contracts Engineer required to join a leading-name in services to the Oil and Gas industry, based in the Dyce area of Aberdeen. This role would suit someone with a legal background.
As Contracts Engineer, you will be responsible for the ongoing development of a contract, legal and commercial framework; working in consultation with customers and subcontractors to mitigate contractual risks and negotiate optimal contract conditions.
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
- Negotiating terms and conditions with customers; including contractual scope and commercial terms.
- Evaluating and advising on contractual and commercial content.
- Analysing needs and objective of clients, partners and internal departments.
- Analysing proposed customer text, translating in text proposals and incorporated into contracts.
- Verifying compliance with corporate legal guidelines.
- Identifying possible risks in contracts, proposing acceptable solutions and adjusting accordingly.
- Checking contracts for accuracy of data.
- Interfacing with internal departments to advice on contractual issues.
Applicants to this position should ideally offer previous experience in a similar position. It is essential that you are comfortable negotiating T&Cs and have an understanding of contractual models. You will ideally be a qualified lawyer or a legal background with a law degree.
