Join a leading energy service business in Aberdeen on an initial fixed-term contract basis. This 12-month assignment will play a key role in the company’s global L&D function, and requires applicants with LMS, e-Learning, programme coordination and event delivery experience.

   

Overview

  • Through use of digitalisation and innovative approaches (including online learning), the L&D Advisor will enhance existing learning routes, providing further opportunities to develop knowledge, understanding and skills, and setting a future path to manage the challenges of the energy transition plan.

  • It is best suited to someone who enjoys a varied workload, is comfortable in a hands-on role and is adaptable to changing responsibilities from coordinating activities to creating learning modules.

     

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Coordinating programmes and scheduled events by arranging providers, issuing joining instructions, updating training records, payment of invoices, and collecting feedback.
  • Developing learning content using e-Learning authoring tool and other digital methods.
  • Managing first line queries from the shared development inbox.
  • Producing reports from the LMS.
  • Setting up training events in the LMS and uploading attendance from training sessions.
  • Supporting the delivery of the company’s annual festival of learning.
  • Coordinating the implementation of Diversity and Inclusion and Wellbeing initiatives.
  • Supporting HR Teams with specialist L&D advice on induction, performance management, L&D solutions, career development and talent management.
  • Delivering areas of responsibility in line with budget.

     

Applicants to this role require

  • Experience in facilitating and organising L&D activities for an international audience, with a preference for experience dealing with remote teams.
  • A progressive thinker, you will have experience in remote/online learning techniques and seek to devise and deliver new and innovative learning methods relevant to your audience needs.
  • You will be highly organised with a keen attention to detail.
  • You will have a passion for learning and development and will take pride in being part of someone’s learning and development experience.
  • You must be highly proficient in IT systems.
  • Ideally you will have experience and knowledge of a learning management system and/or with digital content.
  • You will be a pro-active person, willing to take on responsibility but also able to work as part of a team.
  • You must be customer focused with a friendly attitude and be confident in communicating with all levels of personnel.
  • Ideally you will have experience of dealing with global or highly diverse groups of people.

  • The position will be offered on a fixed-term contract basis, thus you would be paid a salary along with extensive staff benefits for the duration of the assignment.
