We are currently looking for an NDT Technician on a permanent, staff basis who is experienced and / or qualified in RAD and UT testing inspection. Ideally someone who has progressed from surface to volumetric inspection.

    

  • Carrying out non-destructive testing (NDT) on in process and finished machined products. Weldments including full pen butt welds, fillet welds and nonferrous cladding. Surface NDT on in service / refurbished oil tools in accordance with instructions included on process routers and operations procedures.
  • Reporting all NDT activities as per procedural requirements.
  • Ensuring details of all non-conformances are duly documented on relevant reports.
  • Assisting in other inter-departmental areas as operational requirements dictate.

      

Minimum Requirements:

  • ASNT and / or PCN Level II:
    • MPI; and
    • RT or UT Inspection.
  • Previous experience within a relevant NDT / Weld inspection environment.
  • Knowledge of API and ASME specifications.
  • Knowledge of API and ASME specifications.
  • Good general IT skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Good written and verbal skills.

      

Preferred Requirements:

  • PCN level II:
    • RAD Inspection;
    • UT Inspection;
    • LPI Inspection; and
    • RPS Qualification.
  • Previous experience carrying out Gamma radiography.
  • Previous experience conducting NDT as per API 6A / API 1104 and ASME VIII.
  • Working Knowledge of the Ionising Radiations Regulation 2017 and ACOP.
  • Previous experience as a Company RPS.
  • Knowledge of welding processes and their associated defects.
  • Knowledge of NDT reporting requirements.
