North East Culture Collective Coordinator - VR/22842
Be At The Heart Of A Cultural Collective Spearheading Recovery in the North East.
This is a pivotal leadership role within the North East Culture Collective (NECC) programme.
This pilot programme is a sea-change in commissioning cultural activities. It will empower communities to confidently take control of commissioning their own cultural programmes and support creative practitioners shape and inform our COVID-19 recovery, exploring and expanding the positive role that arts and culture can play in society.
Leading the operational aspects of this initiative, which will re-connect neighbours, re-establish confidence, grow skills, combat isolation and improve health and wellbeing, you will:
- Oversee all aspects of the NECC programme and be the conduit between communities, creative practitioners, NECC project board and Culture Aberdeen.
- Lead on communication and engagement with communities who have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19.
- Oversee all aspects of monitoring, evaluation and reporting, to include the operational budget and a financial sustainability plan for the programme.
- Establish strategic links with relevant agencies and organisations locally and nationally, to ensure the impact of the NECC programme is shared and celebrated.
This role requires a leader with business insight, project management expertise and creative passion.
Business insight: Running this project like a small business you’ll be required to provide a high standard of line management; develop strategic relationships; implement processes and procedures; make operational and financial decisions; develop an effective governance process; monitor progress and make trusted recommendations to the NECC project board.
Project management: Apply your skills, knowledge and experience to achieve the NECC project objectives and deliver activities within the agreed timescale and budget. Engage people and partners in a collaborative spirit, focusing on shared outcomes and re-energising community spaces.
Creative passion: Demonstrate that you are a dynamic advocate for the role that arts and culture plays in society and the role it can play in the recovery from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
