We are looking to recruit a Project Manager on an initial 6-month fixed term basis for our client, a leading healthcare service provider based in Aberdeen.

Project Managers within the client’s team are the key to the continued growth and success. You’ll be accountable for the planning, delivery, and implementation of a number of services that are pivotal to the wider business strategy for 2024 and beyond.

     

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Following a standard process, as defined by a professional project management organisation, such as the APM (Association for Project Management) or the PMI (Project Management Institute).
  • Initiating the project - checking feasibility and working out budgets, teams, and resources.
  • Carrying out planning - this will include setting goals and objectives, defining roles and producing schedules and timelines for tasks - in accordance with the needs of your client. Some tools, such as Gantt charts, can be used to create a visual project plan.
  • Selecting, leading, and motivating your Project Team from both internal and external stakeholder organisations.
  • Managing the project - which includes coordinating the Project Team to keep them on track and keeping the project on budget.
  • Carrying out monitoring and control activities to track the progress of the project.
  • Identifying and managing risks to ensure delivery is on time.

      

Applicants to this role require:

  • It would be really advantageous to have worked as a Project Manager, Project Engineer or Account Manager within the energy or healthcare industries.
  • Excellent organisation skills, to plan the use of people and resources to meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, to motivate and lead your Project Team.
  • The ability to monitor and control budgets.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills, to manage expectations.
