Rope Access Project Engineer - VR/17458
Currently recruiting for an experienced Rope Access Project Engineer on a permanent staff basis for an oil and gas client based in Aberdeen.
Based onshore, the Rope Access Project Engineer will have the following main duties and responsibilities:
- Rope access project support will cover the following areas, but not limited to:
- Liaising with Project Manager / Project Engineers over upcoming work.
- General Rope Access support to Project Teams and clients.
- Reviewing Rope Access scopes within projects, assisting with time lines and equipment requirements.
- RA method statements.
- RA risk assessments.
- RA Team structures for scopes.
- RA scope equipment selection.
- RA pre-mobilisation briefings and support.
- Liaising with and supporting Rope Access Technical Authorities.
- HSE support in accident and incident investigation.
- RA stores support.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Previous and specific office-based Rope Access project engineering experience within the oil and gas industry is essential.
- Previous experience of working as a Rope Access Technician is essential.
- Applicants will be expected to possess a current / valid IRATA level 2 Rope Access Qualification.
- Applicants will be expected to possess a strong fabric maintenance background with general knowledge of Black Trades, covering:
- Rigging;
- Fabrication;
- Surface preparation and coating;
- Insulation; and
- Conventional Inspection.
