Opportunity to join a leading international service provider to the energy industry as Senior Commercial Coordinator/ Project Accountant.

     

Key responsibilities:

  • Understanding and managing commercial terms and administration for Projects service line contracts, supporting delivery teams in risk management.
  • Serving as the primary commercial contact for clients, attending meetings as needed.
  • Preparing monthly client reports, including value of works, forecasts, budgets, and incentive schemes.
  • Monitoring financial performance through monthly management accounts, forecasts, and budgets, meeting reporting deadlines.
  • Providing ongoing commercial analysis and support to project teams, budget holders, and Operations Managers.
  • Ensuring accurate cost reporting and analysis, tracking recovery against costs and addressing issues promptly.
  • Monitoring and providing feedback on KPI performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Reviewing and ensuring correct and timely submission of invoices, addressing any commercial issues and optimising cash collection.
  • Conducting contract commercial reviews, communicating and managing specific issues, risks, and opportunities.
  • Identifying revenue growth and cost minimisation opportunities to enhance contract margins.
  • Providing proactive advice and support on contractual and commercial aspects to project teams.
  • Performing monthly/quarterly reconciliations for labour and third-party costs.
  • Identifying and supporting contract amendments as needed.

             

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree qualified, preferably in Finance/Accountancy/Business or part qualified Accountant.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and ERP systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Proactive, self-starter with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in budgeting, re-forecasting, cost-reporting, and monthly accounts.
  • Knowledge and experience in interpreting contractual documentation.
