Training & Competency Coordinator - VR/24841

TMM Recruitment is assisting a well-known energy service business with a new permanent Training and Competency Coordinator vacancy. Based in Aberdeen, the successful applicant will join a wider team and facilitate/maintain the training and competence provision for a diverse offshore workforce. Experience in a similar T&C-focused role is vital, as is working knowledge of relevant offshore training requirements.

    

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Liaising with external training vendors to plan training.
  • Coordinating courses in accordance with the company’s Training Matrix and approved vendor list.
  • Delivering project-specific training requirements.
  • Administering the Competence Assessment and Assurance scheme.
  • Arranging travel and accommodation.
  • Scheduling and tracking employees attending the training.
  • Supporting with data collation for funding claims.
  • Assisting with budget preparation.
  • Preparing training and competence reports as well as gap analysis.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with the offshore workforce, including vessel visits.
  • Undertaking all administrative tasks associated with training.
  • Supporting with the development and maintenance of all processes and procedures relevant to training.
  • Collaborating with Learning and Development function on shared learning courses and events.

     

Applicants to this role require

  • Training and competency coordination experience, gained within the energy industry.
  • Knowledge of learning and competence management systems (desirable).
  • Excellent planning, organisation and especially communication skills.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and be responsible for own time management.
  • Customer-focused approach.
