An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a growing Finance Team in a well-established organisation. This role will provide exposure across all aspects of management accounting, making it an ideal step for a newly or part-qualified accountant looking to broaden their experience and develop their career.

     

The Role:

Working closely with the Finance Director and wider team, you will play a key role in supporting the month-end and management reporting process, while also gaining valuable exposure to forecasting, tax compliance and commercial finance activities.

      

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining fixed asset registers and ensuring monthly reconciliations to the General Ledger.
  • Managing the Sales Ledger process including invoicing, debt review and cash collection.
  • Reviewing and posting stock journals, reconciling stock and work in progress balances.
  • Daily posting of cash transactions and preparing monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Supporting cashflow forecasting in collaboration with the Finance Director.
  • Preparing and reviewing VAT, PAYE and control accounts and ensuring compliance with deadlines.
  • Assisting with Purchase Ledger processing, coding and payment runs.
  • Liaising with payroll to ensure accurate job cost allocation.
  • Assisting with preparation of monthly management accounts, prepayments, accruals and variance analysis.
  • Contributing to forecasts and longer-term business planning.

      

About You:

  • Newly qualified or part-qualified Accountant (CA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills.
  • Previous experience in a finance role, ideally with management accounts exposure.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work to deadlines.
  • Team player with strong communication skills and a proactive approach.
