Aviation Auditor - VR/31549
A leading global aviation services provider is seeking an Aviation Auditor to join their Dyce-based team on a full-time, permanent staff basis. This is a replacement role due to an internal promotion, and is a key role in maintaining and improving safety and compliance standards across a range of aviation disciplines. The role is fully site based, with some travel involved for a few days at a time. The ideal candidate will have Safety/Quality auditing experience, in addition to incident and accident investigation experience.
Reporting to the UK Safety Lead, this regional role is focused on maintaining and continuously improving the level of compliance and safety across multiple aviation disciplines, including both rotary and unmanned operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting flight, ground, maintenance, and security audits on behalf of the UK AOCs.
- Supporting the management of all components of the Safety Management System, including internal auditing and subcontractor control processes.
- Assisting AOCs in meeting ad hoc tasking requirements to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Investigating incidents and near misses, with a focus on preventive and corrective actions.
- Participating in operational MOCs to ensure regulatory compliance across the organisation.
- Analysing and trending safety events from multiple reporting sources.
- Engaging in emergency response activities, including training exercises.
- Representing the SMS Lead in Safety Action Groups where required.
- Supporting flight and ground operations personnel.
- Coordinating with Ground Ops Duty Holders on Dangerous Goods matters.
Technical Requirements:
- Experience within the aviation sector.
- Knowledge and understanding of regulatory environments (highly desirable).
- Background in flight operations, ground operations, or flight safety.
- Understanding of Safety Management System requirements.
Qualifications:
- Auditing experience – highly desirable.
- Incident/Accident investigation training and experience – desirable.

Details:
- Location: Dyce, Aberdeen.
- Contract: Permanent staff position.
- Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday.
- Travel: Required approximately once a month, typically for a few days at a time.
